Shows

Stephen has exhibited in both Toronto and Vancouver. He was a featured artist with "The Gallery Without Walls" in Toronto showing in a wide variety of venues during the early 1990's including the groundbreaking exhibitions "No Particular Civilization", "Genitive Forum", and "Di-Vercity/Urban Core".

In the mid 1990's Stephen relocated to British Columbia and quickly created a name for himself as an artist in Vancouver. For three years his work was showcased exclusively in the window of "Bianca Luce" in the West End of Vancouver, establishing his presence and style on the west coast.

In 1998 he participated in the VOX Exhibition and shortly afterward joined the Exhibitions Gallery, where he had his first solo show. He is regularly featured in the yearly "Pride in Art" show, winning the "Best in Show" award in 2001. Also in 2001, he was commissioned by Universal Studios to paint a 5 ft. by 7 ft. portrait of actress Parker Pose that was featured in the film "Jose and the Pussycats'".

Stephen’s next solo show was in the spring of 2003 at the Anne Carlson Fine Art Gallery and was titled “Painted Ladies” showcasing a series of his original portraits.

One of Stephen’s unique works is a 36 X 48 portrait titled “Tiara” which is composed entirely of over 6,000 sequins on canvas and was featured in the “Face Up Front” exhibition at the Glass Onion Gallery in 2004.

Also in 2004 he was selected as a featured artist in the prestigious “Art For Life” charity auction. He created a series of paintings of architectural details of Vancouver buildings especially for this fine art auction. He was invited back to this exclusive event in 2005, 2006, and again in 2007 where his paintings proved to be some of the most sought after works.
